the largest in the world is near death valley, called kramer junction.
it make enough power for more than 250,000 homes.
of course, they only use it when they are not getting enough from coal and nucs. go figure.
it is about 1 square mile. i went there, to see it for myself.
due to improvements in turbines and generators, it is more effecient than when it opened.
somewhere on this gov't website, it USED to state that using this technology in combined areas the size of 9% of nevada,
we could power our whole country.
(i vote for 9% of texas.)
