I'm sure they will come up with some problems. Vehicle security is one I can think of.
But perhaps communities can be designed to maximize walking and bicycle riding, maybe even animal riding.
That is have schools, stores, etc smaller and closer to housing.

Sun, May 31, 2009 - 1:31 PMIt doesn't look like they are going to get out of their SUV's but SUV's will be the first to become compulsory hybrids.
Of course parking will still be a problem and the German suburb deals with that problem nicely. Park outside the community and pay big time for a parking space. I still think co-operative car (SUV) sharing is good for travels outside the bicycle and electric cart community. -
