I got this organization I'm working with sorta grass roots, but not so strongly acquainted with anything political. They're considering using alternative fuels to put the recently made homeless-by-self-imploding-economy victims up and back on their feet. Considering using veggie oil and buses to create car-pools for commuters. We got a guy running his mouth enough to break through most the contracts at the mom and pop joints for oil, and a sweet gig for making sure the oil won't be stolen.

Anyone interested in the idea?
Got tips?

Lay it on me :)

NASA and CAFE green aircraft challenge

http://www.nasa.gov/home/hqnews/2009/jul/HQ_09_178_Green_Aircraft_Challenge.html

>"NASA and Cafe Announce Green Aircraft Challenge

WASHINGTON -- The NASA Innovative Partnerships Program and the Comparative Aircraft Flight Efficiency (CAFE) Foundation today announced the Green Flight Challenge. The contest is a flight efficiency competition for aircraft that can average at least 100 mph on a 200-mile flight while achieving greater than 200 passenger miles per gallon.

The prize for the aircraft with the best performance is $1.5 million. The competition is scheduled for July 2011 at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa, Calif. A variety of innovative experimental aircraft using electrical, solar, bio-fuel or hybrid propulsion are expected to enter. Several major universities and aircraft builders have expressed their intention to enter teams in the challenge.

To win, teams must use cutting-edge technologies in mechanical and electrical engineering, structures, aerodynamics and thermodynamics. As a national showcase of "green" technology, the challenge is expected to help advance all three of the major climate mitigation initiatives: efficiency, conservation and zero-carbon energy sources. These technologies will support advances in aviation and may have broader applications in transportation and energy storage.

The Green Flight Challenge is administered for NASA by CAFE. Founded in 1981, CAFE is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the understanding of personal aircraft technologies through research, analysis and education.

NASA is providing the prize money as part of the Centennial Challenges program. The program seeks innovative solutions to problems of interest to NASA and the nation from diverse and unconventional sources. Competitors may not receive government funding for their entries in this challenge.
urban two seater brought to you by Segway and GM

Article:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102851854&ft=1&f=1025

>General Motors and Segway unveiled a prototype two-wheeled electric vehicle that can seat two people. The Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility, or PUMA, project is designed to be an alternative to cars and trucks in cities across the world.

Critics have their doubts.

The tech-review Web site Engadget calls it "a rickshaw without all the charm." Another blog, Business Insider, dubs it "a hideous two-wheeled egg."<

GM trying out new ideas? Or just wasting their time?

Sheik Says Biofuels Are Prohibited by Islam

Sheik Says Biofuels Are Prohibited by Islam

Feb 20th, 2009

"Biofuels may have hit an unexpected roadblock with a pronouncement by Sheik Mohamed al-Najimi of the Saudi Islamic Jurisprudence Academy that the fuel may be prohibited by Islam. According to al-Najimi, the prophet Muhammad prohibited the buying, selling, transporting, drinking, and manufacturing of alcohol - including the ethyl alcohol present in ethanol.

If other religious leaders take al-Najimi’s opinion seriously, biofuel could be banned in Muslim countries that currently disallow alcohol. That means Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Libya, and Sudan could potentially become biofuel-free zones.

While al-Najimi says that his recommendation should not be considered a fatwa (a legal pronouncement in Islam), he does believe that restriction of biofuels should go beyond Muslim countries to include Muslims around the world.

Pickens Plan Action Alert

"Contact Congress about The American Renewal and Reinvestment Act (H.R. 1) One version of H.R. 1 has passed the U.S. House of Representatives and now another has passed the Senate. Critical elements of the wind piece of the Pickens Plan are in one or both versions of the bill, which now goes to Conference to create a final version.

We need to make one final push on the stimulus package to ensure our pieces are included. Please fill in the following form to send your U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives an email asking them to support the Pickens Plan components of the Stimulus Package. Even if you already emailed your Senators last week, please send an email again today to ensure your U.S. Representative also receives the message."

Algae: The Biofuel Revolution

Algae: The Biofuel Revolution

"The sustainable energy age has begun. It was recently announced that a company in Florida called Green Flight International (GFI) has plans to construct a $100-million, algae biofuel plant aimed at making fuel for the aviation industry as well as for ground-based transportation

GFI has also completed the world's first jet-aircraft flight powered by 100% biofuel. GFI president and CEO Douglas Rodante says that "algae-based biofuel would be able to replace petroleum without alterations to engines or infrastructure, and could be used for all sorts of transportation."

The potential of algae biofuel for both vehicles and air travel is so promising that it will play a large role in helping America finally become energy independent. Biofuel from algae completely eliminates the food vs. fuel concerns of other biofuels, and CO2 will be significantly reduced. Algae are the fastest growing plants in the world, and that fact translates into 20,000 gallons of biofuel per acre! Soybean, corn, switchgrass and other biofuels cannot even compete......."

Coffee for fuel

By HENRY FOUNTAIN
Published: December 15, 2008 - NY Times

In research that touches on two of Americans’ great obsessions — coffee and cars — scientists at the University of Nevada, Reno, have made diesel fuel from used coffee grounds.

Spent Coffee Grounds as a Versatile Source of Green Energy (Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry)

The technique is not difficult, they report in The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, and there is so much coffee around that several hundred million gallons of biodiesel could potentially be made annually.

Mano Misra, a professor of engineering who conducted the research with Narasimharao Kondamudi and Susanta K. Mohapatra, said it was by accident that he realized coffee beans contained a significant amount of oil. “I made a coffee one night but forgot to drink it,” he said. “The next morning I saw a layer of oil floating on it.” He and his team thought there might be a useful amount of oil in used grounds, so they went to several Starbucks stores and picked up about 50 pounds of them.

Analysis showed that even the grounds contained about 10 to 15 percent oil by weight. The researchers then used standard chemistry techniques to extract the oil and convert it to biodiesel. The processes are not particularly energy intensive, Dr. Misra said, and the researchers estimated that biodiesel could be produced for about a dollar a gallon.

One hurdle, Dr. Misra said, is in collecting grounds efficiently — there are few centralized sources of coffee grounds. But the researchers plan to set up a small pilot operation next year using waste from a local bulk roaster.

Even if all the coffee grounds in the world were used to make fuel, the amount produced would be less than 1 percent of the diesel used in the United States annually. “It won’t solve the world’s energy problem,” Dr. Misra said of his work. “But our objective is to take waste material and convert it to fuel.” And biodiesel made from grounds has one other advantage, he said: the exhaust smells like coffee.

DIY hydrogen power YOUR gas guzzler

hello sweet family,

now,
i finally have a forum in which i care to share these ideas.
more than ideas. i have videos, and prototypes...

we can power our gasoline powered (items) with hydrogen,
which creates zero polution.
and,
we can gather this hydrogen out of the electrolysis of water,
which we can create on board, or at home,
using renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydro.
NOT FROM NATURAL GAS OR COAL!!!!!!
no grid, money, comcast, or shiny black shoes required!
and,
we can gather solar energy using technologies and systems that we can make and maintain, not photovoltaics.
not to dis them; pvs are great, it's just that we can't make them in the woods, and the shiny black shoes got them monopolized.
and, we could power stuff at home with it too.
any engineers, mechanics, ganjaprenuers, or goddeses in the bay area or norcal want to help?
let's get a fleet of vehicles running on solar generated hydrogen for bm next year, and start taking over the cali roadways.
put that in your exhaust pipe and suck on it, for some distilled water.
peace and LOVE to YOU.

in the name of om,

Ok, this is what gets me. There should be a viable alternative to the high cost of fuel hitting the streets by now. My question is why does it take so long? If I ahd the know how and the means, I would have an alcohol conversion station and a ready supply of biofuels ready to pump into cars. Just take the money and run, take advantage of the high cost of running vehicles. The driving public is getting screwed, then again, we all know that.

Gasification workshop: run your car on bullshit (and other junk)

GASIFICATION WORKSHOP #2 AT SHIPYARD LABS: Gasifier Building and Honda Accord converting

Gasification Lecture and Demo: Thurs, June 12, 7:30-9:30PM
Build Days: 4 Saturdays (June 14, 21, 28 and July 5), 11am - 7pm
Cost: $350 (or free with purchase of a GEK kit, Level II or higher)

Workshop Info: http://allpowerlabs.org/gasification/gek/powerexchange3.html
GEK info: http://allpowerlabs.org/gasification/gek/index.html

The recently launched Gasifier Experimenters Kit (GEK) grew out of the
first Gasification Workshop held at the Shipyard last spring. Now
that we have an easy to assemble and well performing kit, the next
Gasification Workshop will focus on building these kits and
documenting their performance over various configurations, fuels and
use scenarios. We will be using our new 6 gas sensing rig, tar tester,
thermocouples, moIsture meters and other instrumentation to generate
quantitative run data and resulting refinements.

The main group project will be using the GEK kit to convert a Honda
Accord to run on walnut shells. (Thank you Tom Price for the Honda and
thank you Winters, CA for the endless supply of walnut shells). The
goal is a polished and automated installation that is acceptable as a
daily driver. Towards this goal, we'll be developing air/syngas
mixture automation mechatronics, condensate/steam reinjection systems
and other automated sensing and control devices.

Along side the Honda Accord project, participants are encouraged to
build their own GEK for personal projects. Maybe you want to convert a
vehicle, generator, forge, lawnmover, hot water heater, or fire art
project. Or maybe even a racer for the Escape from Berkeley, by any
non-petroleum means rally (www.escapefromberkeley.com). Now's your
chance to get started.

All tools and help needed to assemble the kits will be provided during
the weekend build days. You will need to buy at least the Level II
form of the kit, but not any of the assembly options. The workshop is
FREE for anyone who purchases the material kit.

The workshop begins with an evening talk and discussion on the science
of gasification, and a survey of its design and social history. Both
beginning and expert reactor assemblies will be presented, with
pointers to further reading and current issues and opportunities in
the field. Also included is a basic introduction to biochar / Terra
Preta and the related pyrolysis reactors that can make it happen.

Thought this road rally I am working on would be of interest to this group. What kind of power could you scavenge along the way?

Event Details:
Shipyard Labs is sponsoring an event to showcase the art and innovation of a new generation of alternatively-powered vehicles. October 10th – 13th 2008, a variety of vehicle entries will compete in a road rally from Berkeley, CA to Las Vegas, NV.

The three day course will take contestants from the Pacific Coast, over the Sierra Mountains, down through Death Valley to the finish line across the Las Vegas strip.

Event rules allow the contestants to use any non-petroleum fuel or power source. However, all fuel must be scavenged along the route. Contestants cannot bring the fuel with them, nor buy it along the way. Rally organizers expect something like “Mad Max meets the DARPA Grand Challenge.” Cash prizes will be awarded to the rally time winner and for notable accomplishments in engineering and art.

Jim Mason, founder of Shipyard Labs, touts the event as an opportunity for, "NASA scientists to go head-to-head with junkyard fabricators in the perennial battle of engineering prowess vs. creative excess. This time, bragging rights for SAVING THE WORLD hang in the balance. Part engineering problem. Part artistic opportunity. All post-apocalyptic road trip adventure."

GEET Process, momentum building, grassroots individuals building these engines all over the world

Hey guys sorry if this has been posted before. Think you will like it and I want to bring your attention to it. An awesome and simple adaptation that can be made to almost any car, although there needs to be further research done on this technology I believe that it offers huge possibilities. If you dig around on the internet, you can find guys burning as fuel everything from tomato ketchup to water mixed with gasoline. Obviously there needs to be additional testing to find out the full spectrum of savings, inefficiencies, efficiencies and apropriate aplications for this process.

In simple definition, the GEET Fuel Processor could be called a new type of carburetor with a miniature refinery built in. With it, There is no need for catalytic converters, smog pumps and many other costly items on cars , as the GEET fuel processor is not just a fuel delivery system it is also a pollution elimination unit! Your mileage will be greatly increased if you are truly consuming ALL of the available energy From whatever fuel you may be using.

If it works it needs to be out there.

A description for those people technically minded
The GEET is a dynamic fuel-exhaust recycling device that can be fitted to an engine, between the air intake and the exhaust.

A model suitable for a small two- or four-stroke (lawn-mower or small generator) typically consists of two horizontally-lying, concentric steel or metallic pipes of about 50 cm in length, one inside the other. The outer pipe has an inside diameter of 25.4 mm, the inner pipe an outside diameter of 12.7 mm and an inner diameter of 12.4 mm. Within the latter is a long solid steel or iron bar, whose diameter is 12 mm, that doesn’t touch it, except at three solder points at each of its extremities. Let us call A and B the two ends of the 50 cm long pipes and bar.

The exhaust from the engine travels

* From A along the "outer" concentric space, between the two pipes, to B.
* From there, it is sent bubbling at high pressure to the bottom a jug of water with some fuel that is vapourized by the heat.
* It is then sent along the inner pipe, in the thin space round the central solid steel bar, back from B to A, to near the air intake, where it is mixed with some fresh air.
* The latter mixture is input to the motor

Greetings to all my relations.

This is the last step of our project History Watch. If History is
defined and known by the texts, we can now add to this definition the
recorded events of the filmed archives. Animated images are harder to
deny than printed words. Our objective is to spread out freely some of
the little broadcast, even hidden informations about our collective
History.

We put online a collection of 391 documentaries and other selected and
recut videos, to offer to a wide public the best of the infos
available on the net in english and in french. If you are interested,
you have the time, the right equipment and connection, all you have to
do is open the joint document and decompress it if needed (but normaly
your system should do it automaticaly). You'll find therein nine links
that will open the torrents for the nine DVDs we compiled (around 4.6
Gig each, for a total of a little over 41 G, being over 100 hours of
videos).

Otherwise, you can go directly to btjunkie.com and search for these titles.
the net. If you don't have a bittorrent software, we suggest that you
download uTorrent on utorrent.com. If you want to participate in
facilitating the diffusion of these infos about our collective
History, download these torrents on as many computers as possible,
whether it is in cybercafes. It takes one or two minutes to open up
the links and the downloading will keep proceeding on its own.
I love Morgans!

'A "zero-emission" sports car with a top speed of nearly 100mph is set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

The hydrogen-powered Lifecar, based on the design of the Morgan Aero-8 roadster, produces little noise and only water vapour from its exhaust.

The lightweight model packs advanced fuel cells and an energy storage system that gives the car a range of 250 miles (400km) per tank of hydrogen. '

For Sale: 1980 Mercedes Benz 300SD Turbo Oil (BioDiesel/Diesel) $2500 in Santa Monica, CA

1980 Mercedes Benz 300SD Turbo Diesel $2500
S-Class Mercedes (Top of the line) with "single tank conversion" from Lovecraft runs on 100% vegetable oil = free fuel! Can also run on biodiesel or diesel (and any combination of the 3). I'll be happy to show you how to collect, filter, and fill with free used vegetable oil.
175,000 miles. No rust. Very safe car, tank-like. Peppy turbo. A/C works. NEW: brakes (calipers, pads, master cylinder), 4 tires, A/C service, engine mounts, engine shocks, steering box. Known issues: oil leak at turbo charger, engine noise, some dash instruments don't work. This car is not drivable until the oil leak is fixed. It starts and idles, but loses oil. My mechanic says $400 to fix the leak.

Deos anyone know the scoop these days on electric bicycle? Is there anyone making them accessible these days? I got a chance a few years ago to ride one by Shockwave ( i think thats what they were called) but apparently they have gone out of business since..... But the bikes kicked ass they went up to 20mph silently at the push of a button, and you could charge it by pedalling or wall plug in. Anyone know of anyone that sells anything like this these days??
thanks

GM New Vehicle Engineering Organization for Hybrids

GM is forming a new Vehicle Engineering Organization for Hybrids, Extended-Range Electric Vehicles and Batteries. It's job will be to accelerate the implementation of hybrid and extended range electric vehicles (what they like to call the Volt).

"The future of automotive transportation will be based on electrification of our vehicles," said Jim Queen, GM group vice president of Global Engineering. "By having a vehicle engineering team in place and focused on delivering the technical aspects of hybrids and E-REVs, we can accelerate these programs and get them into production quickly and efficiently."
A New Deal for EEStor
A delayed battery technology may indeed be on the way.
By Tyler Hamilton

Earlier this month, a stealthy startup that says its ultracapacitor-based energy storage system could make conventional batteries obsolete took a small step toward proving its many skeptics wrong.

The company, EEStor, based in Cedar Park, TX, has made bold claims about its technology but has so far failed to deliver a working commercial product. However, an agreement announced this month with Lockheed Martin, based in Bethesda, MD, suggests that the company could be making progress--at least enough to convince a major defense contractor that the technology has merit. The agreement gives Lockheed an exclusive international license to use EEStor's power system for military and homeland-security applications--everything from advanced remote sensors and missile systems to mobile power packs and electric vehicles. The technology, Lockheed said in a statement, "could lead to energy independence for the Warfighter."

propane-powered tow rec?

I am planning a propane or natural gas powered vehicle

exclusively used in a towing application. I want to move 5000 lb

at freeway speed, with safe power margins to maintain recovery from tow braking.

I would consider to use the same vehicle as a utility vehicle towing grading tools,

so a suspension that is appropriate for hard axle loads and also safe for on-road towing, is important.

Would anyone consider recommending an appropriate make and model for conversion from gasoline?

Even a link or two would help me start the planning I must do.

TIA,

Sexiest Plug-in Hybrid Ever....

Pulled from Wired:

http://blog.wired.com/cars/2008/01/detroit-best-in.html

Hot damn! We're pretty sure the Fisker Coachworks Karma will do for the plug-in electric vehicle what the Tesla Roadster has done for the electric car - raise the bar of what is possible with green technology while making it sexy.

The $80,000 Karma is a marvel of design and engineering that melds classic styling cues with liminal technology. The company claims the car's lithium-ion batteries provide 50 miles of emissions-free full-electric driving, and the Q-Drive hybrid drivetrain — a small four-cylinder engine attached to a very large generator — purportedly propel the Karma from zero to 60 in 5.8 seconds and to a top speed of 125 mph. OK, you won't outrun Johnny Law, but you'll be able to dust a Prius.

"This car," company CEO and lead designer Henrik Fisker told us, "is more enviromentally friendly than a Toyota Prius."

And it's, you know, smokin' hot. Which is the point. Fisker, who designed the BMW Z8 and Aston Martin DB9, said the fastest way to bring green technology into the mainstream is to make it desirable.

solar power plants!
the largest in the world is near death valley, called kramer junction.
it make enough power for more than 250,000 homes.
of course, they only use it when they are not getting enough from coal and nucs. go figure.
it is about 1 square mile. i went there, to see it for myself.
due to improvements in turbines and generators, it is more effecient than when it opened.
somewhere on this gov't website, it USED to state that using this technology in combined areas the size of 9% of nevada,
we could power our whole country.
(i vote for 9% of texas.)

a couple years ago , it got bought. guess by whom?

the carlisle group. go F...!
figure.

i'm surprised it is still there. if it is.

no, but check it out:

Is it possible to replace a Wankel engine with a Diesel????

Hey all,
I just joined this tribe, so please excuse me for my layman terminology...
I don't know much about cars, except that I need one for work soon, yet I refuse to get one that will only make me have a guilty consciousness...
I have been given a beaten up old 1982 Mazda RX 7, probably doesn't work and will need buttloads of work to make it run. I originally wanted to get a diesel, so i would have the chance to use biodiesel/veggie oil.. Yet since this has been given to me,and I am a sucker for DIY, no matter how much it might need to run.. I am curious if it is possible to either convert the existing engine, or just replace it....
If anybody can help me out, I'd appreciate it..
Cheers
-S

the dark side of ethanol?

I heard from a person in agriculture that it takes about a gallon of petroleum-based fertilizers to produce a gallon of ethanol for fuel (therefore not a "green" fuel). The 2nd problem is that diversion of corn for ethanol production is drawing grain from "protein production", which may increase prices of cattle, chicken, and pork because the animals will actually be smaller (bone to muscle ratio gets skewed to the bone side).

Interesting point of view.

I'm not a bubble-burster, but ethanol doesn't seem to be all it's cracked up to be.

Dear sisters and brothers,
I would love to be your conversion slave. I work for free and only need a place to throw up a tent. Nourishment is also accepted, but i am getting ahead of my self. I am very mechanically inclined, as i do personal work on a '83 300D Mercedes, and have done so on a few previous non diesel vehicle. My moral and energy is always high and positive, and I work until the job is done right. I am willing a positive and creative environment where I may be able to learn the process on any diesel vehicle. The desire to learn arises from being resourceful in using a waste product as fuel and to eventually convert my own car. I may also have the pleasure of taking the skill to South Africa in February, where I will be creating dwellings out of clay and earth. Let’s enjoy each other!

Would you search for a job primarily for location or Wage rate.
Coming from England everything is rather close so i was wondering in bigger countries if location was the biggest factor.
Posted by: "Crissi Avila" xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx[deleted by me]
Wed Aug 15, 2007 12:35 pm (PST)
Good Afternoon!

Please join us for the Biodiesel Working Group meeting this Sunday August
19th at 3pm in Hollywood.

At our last meeting we had Kris Moller, Conserv Fuel gas station owner
discuss the steps involved in changing a gas station over from diesel to
biodiesel. Not an easy process but doable nonetheless!

This meeting will focus on the Biodiesel Community Conference held on August
1st. We will have a debriefing of the meeting and would love to hear your
thoughts and suggestions. Then we will spend time discussing each group and
how best to move forward collectively.

RSVP below.

http://tinyurl.com/3xoenm

See you then!

Sincerely,
Great Way To Make Extra Money For only 6 One Dollar Bills

YOU KNOW THAT YOU SPEND AT LEAST $6.00 "EVERY PAY
PERIOD" ON USELESS STUFF, ME TOO. SO I THOUGHT, WHAT THE HECK, I'M GOING TO TRY ONE OF THESE "SCAMS". NOW TO MY AMAZEMENT, I AM CHUCKLING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK WEEK AFTER WEEK WITH My PILES OF 1$ BILLS. I AM HAVING FUN AT THE SAME TIME AND WISHING THAT I WOULD HAVE DONE THIS SOONER! THIS IS LONG, SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ IT ALL NOW, JUST "COPY AND PASTE", IT IS
SOOO WORTH IT! DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, JUST TRY IT!
How to turn $6 into $6,000!
READING THIS COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE! SO JUST DO IT! This really works!
Hello, I’m like a lot of others out there who have
financial woes and I decided to try something new. If it works for me then I will be able to get myself out of a very difficult financial situation. Please read and see what results another got, it's pretty exciting!
It REALLY CAN MAKE YOU EASY MONEY!! IT WORKS!!!
BUT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW IT TO THE LETTER FOR IT TO WORK!!!!
I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with
only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought,
"Yeah right, this must be a scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and address stated in the article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 newsgroups. (There are thousands)
No catch, that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to a few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured: "what have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right?" Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!... Within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps, I have spent more than that on the!! Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works.... Also, make sure you print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it. I promise you that if you follow the directions exactly, that you will start making more money than you thought possible by doing something
so easy!
Suggestion: Read this entire message carefully!
(Print it out or download it.)
Follow the simple directions and watch the money
come in! It's easy. It's legal. And, your investment is only $6.00 (Plus postage)
IMPORTANT: This is not indecent; it is not illegal; and it is virtually no risk - it really works!!!! If all of the following instructions are adhered to, you will receive extraordinary dividends. PLEASE NOTE: Please follow these directions EXACTLY, and $50,000 or more can be yours in 20 to 60 days. This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants. Please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions. You will now become part of the Mail Order business.
In this business your product is not solid and tangible, it's a service. You are in the business of developing Mailing Lists. Many large corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. however, the money made from the mailing lists is secondary to the income, which is made from people like you and me asking to
be included in that list.
Here are the 3 easy steps to success:
STEP 1: Get 6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper
"PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST."
Now get 6 US $1.00 bills and place ONE inside EACH of the 6 pieces of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope (to prevent thievery). Next, place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes and seal them. You should now have 6 sealed envelopes, each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a $1.00 bill. What you are doing is creating a service. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying
for it! Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it all. So I checked it out with the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! Mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses:
#1) D.Blakeman 7400 Glenleaf #179 Shreveport, LA 71129
#2) J.maxey 355 N. Manilla, Fresno, CA. 93727
#3) C. Lyons P.O. Box 69645 Los Angeles, CA. 90069-0645
#4) RJ K. Murpay 850 E. Walnut #173 Grapevine, Tx 76051
#5) Candice Messinger 5216 Old Powell rd. Holly Springs, NC 27540
#6) Tim DeMeerleer 105 N. Main st.Rear Kennett, MO 63857
STEP 2: Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move the other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc.) and add YOUR Name as number 6 on the list.
STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups. (I think there are close to 24,000 groups)All you need is 200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make!
This is perfectly legal! If you have any doubts, refer to Title 18 Sec. 1302 & 1341 of the Postal laws. Keep a copy of these steps for yourself and, whenever you need money, you can use it again, and again. PLEASE REMEMBER that this program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants and by their carefully adhering to the directions. Look at
it this way. If you are of integrity, the program will continue and the money that so many others have received will come your way.
NOTE: You may want to retain every name and address sent to you, either on a computer or hard copy and keep the notes people send you. This VERIFIES that you are truly providing a service.
(Also, it might be a good idea to wrap the $1 bill in dark paper to reduce the risk of mail theft.)
So, as each post is downloaded and the directions
carefully followed, six members will be reimbursed for their participation as a List Developer with one dollar each. Your name will move up the list geometrically so that when your
name reaches the #1 position you will be receiving thousands of dollars in CASH!!! What an opportunity for only $6.00 ($1.00 for each of the first six people listed above)
Send it now, add your own name to the list and you're in business!
---DIRECTIONS -----
FOR HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS
Step 1) You do not need to re-type this entire letter to do your own posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of this letter and drag your cursor to the bottom of this document, and select 'copy' from the edit menu. This will copy the entire letter into the computer’s memory.

Step 2) Open a blank 'notepad' file and place your cursor at the top of the blank page. From the 'edit' menu select 'paste'. This will paste a copy of the letter into notepad so that you can
add your name to the list.
Step 3) Save your new notepad file as a .txt file. If you want to do your postings in different settings, you'll always have this file to go back to.
Step 4) Use Netscape or Internet explorer and try searching for various newsgroups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites, discussions.)
Step 5) Visit these message boards and post this article as a new message by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting paste from the edit menu. Fill in the Subject, this will be the
header that everyone sees as they scroll through the list of postings in a particular group, click the post message button. You're done with your first one!
Congratulations...THAT'S IT! All you have to do is jump to different newsgroups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it will take about 30 seconds for each newsgroup!
**REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWSGROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE!! BUT YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200**
That's it! You will begin receiving money from around the world within days! You may eventually want to rent a P.O.Box due to the large amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can invent a name to use, as long as the postman will deliver it.
**JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT. **
HOW IT WORKS:
Out of 200 postings, say I receive only 5 replies (a very low example).
So then I made $5.00 with my name at #6 on the letter. Now, each of the 5 persons who just sent me $1.00 make the MINIMUM 200 postings, each with my name at #5 and only 5 persons respond to each of the original 5, that is another $25.00 for me, now those 25 each make 200 MINIMUM posts with my name at #4 and only 5 replies each, I will bring in an additional $125.00! Now, those 125 persons turn around and post the MINIMUM 200 with my name at #3 and only receive 5 replies each, I will make an additional $625.00! OK, now here is the fun part, each of those 625 persons post a MINIMUM 200 letters with my name at #2 and they each only receive 5 replies, that just made me $3,125.00!!! Those 3,125 persons will all deliver this message to 200 newsgroups with my name at #1 and if still 5 persons per 200 newsgroups react I will receive $15,625,00! With an original investment of only $6.00! AMAZING! When your name is no longer on the list, you just take the
latest posting in the newsgroups, and send out another $6.00 to names on the list, putting your name at number 6 again. And start posting again. The thing to remember is: do you realize that thousands of people all over the world are
joining the Internet and reading these articles everyday? JUST LIKE YOU are now!! So, can you afford $6.00 and see if it really works?? I think so... People have said, "what if the plan is played out and no one sends you the money? So what! What are the chances of that happening when
there are tons of new honest users and new honest people who are joining the Internet and newsgroups everyday and are willing to give it a try? Estimates are at 20,000 to 50,000 new users, every day, with thousands of those joining the actual Internet. Remember, play FAIRLY and HONESTLY and this will really work. God bless you!

So perhaps I am dense but have wondered why no one I know of has created a auto with a set of wind turbines..small ones behind the grill or the like that would generate energy while the vehicle is going down the road to be stored in batteries? It seems it could at least supplement a fuel source.

Phase II Electric bike prototype

I finally got the initial bugs out and tied all the loose ends together. I am going to go into more details on the concept and where it is going. Also I am not really yet done because I am still building the NiMHd battery pack with an alternative fuel generator option. This will double the range of travel or multiply it by a factor of ten if I go with a fuel/electric hybrid mod but for the moment it is all about human/electric hybridization.

Anyway the specs so far are:

average cruise speed over various terrain and slopes; 20 mph
max speed in power peddled downhill sustained for better than five minutes; 54.9 mph
sustained top speed powered on the flat with peddling; 40.6 mph
average max cruise speed on the flat with peddling ; 28.4

The total range ability is still unknown but I will be attempting that test with a chase vehicle and back up power packs for the return home. I know many of these results because I installed a computer that measures speed, records averages and max speed, as well as being a trip meter, clock, timer, and odometer.

I need to lose at least 10 pounds to increase efficiencies but optimally I should lose close to 20, that will more than offset the added battery weight from the current test model lead acid batteries I am presently using.

The funny looking fairing I designed is really about where I am putting all the needed electronics for controllers and switching but it does act as a front fender and is aerodynamically efficient. I did create a manually switched recovery braking system that allows me to recharge the batteries when traveling downhill. I also installed a third rear disk brake because I had to compensate for all the added weight from additional strength to weight components. The tires are medium pressure road rubber with a smoother tread pattern and the gas filled front shocks help smooth out the road and ensure good steering and stopping even at the performance level that I am operating under.

The integrated lighting is both for collision avoidance night operations and road visibility for the rider. The primary headlight is a xenon 6v self contained headlamp and my helmet has built-in LED front and rear lighting along with a rear view mirror.

The frame is all aluminum and is designed to handle the added weight and stresses of the dual motors and batteries. As is now obvious I integrated both off road and road racer technologies. This has allowed me to present a much lower profile to the relative wind for increased speed and efficiency. The top end gear ratio is 4:1 and the low end is 14:15 with 175mm alloy crank arms. I converted to a Shimano Diore LX shift set to handle the wider range needed for this design. When both motors are on there is @ 1Kw of electric motor power available but I also manually switch off the rear motor and that lowers consumption 600 watts on demand. I principally use the rear motor for improved acceleration and hill climbing but normally leave it for its flywheel effect only. Eventually this wheel motor will be turned on and off by a simple speed sensor tuned to optimize performance under a programmable set of conditions individualized for the rider's persona characteristics.

The total weight of the vehicle is 87 pounds with all the extras and the 12AHr 36 volt lead acid battery which by itself weighs 27 pounds. The intended NiMHd pannier replacement battery will be almost 5 pounds lighter with a lower center of gravity, slightly greater range 13 AHr's (Amp Hours), safer (no acid spill) and have LED turn signaling, brake and position lighting included.

I am uploading a few pics too.

Spiritual Sexual Predator

An open response to Tantric M (people.tribe.net/894389d7-...dfb363dc1)

Let me tell you a story about me and LilShadow, the woman you called a liar on the Burningman Tribe (bm.tribe.net/thread/a6c9...6a77591132b)

It's in our Testimonials to each other.
I asked her to be a friend.. She said no. I accepted that. I didn't ask again and again. I respect women. Hell...I respect people!
We met on the Playa, held hands, and drank blood together.
We have been fast friends ever since. Walking each other through some seriously tough times, laughing and sharing the good. Talking on the phone at least once a month ever since.
She is an Angel!
One thing she has never done is lie. To me, or to anyone I know.

You questioned the integrity of a good woman. That was your first mistake.
Your second was picking on someone that you thought was weak.

Since then, I have been contacted by other women that you have preyed on.
One has only to look at some of the degrading photo's of women, of seriously sick Porn mixed in with 'Prayer Wheels' to see your character.
Personally...I think you are a new phenomenon.
The 'Spiritual Sexual Predator'.
I just evicted one from the Ranch I'm on. (See my Blog)((people.tribe.net/kamikazek...comments)) He, like you, was pathetic. Spouting New Age buzz words as a self described 'Enlightened Master' while eating our food, not working, and hitting on jail bait.
Every woman felt creeped out (like the women on Tribe I've talked to) 'hit on' by a dirty old Hippy.
Sound familiar??
Many women have come to me with tales of you.
Your actions speak much louder than your words.
Your past is verified by several independent sources.
Abuse has been notified.
If any other women than the 8 tonite who have contacted me want to speak to this issue, an issue (in my opinion) of a 'Spiritual Sexual Predator', please band together, speak out, and notify abuse at
www.abuse@tribe.net
KK
ps
I intend to cross post this on every Tribe that Tantric M subscribes to. If it gets me kicked off Tribe...so be it.
My intentions are as if I were a Father watching out for my Daughter.

Hello,
I'd like to start running my Dodge/Cummins Diesel on straight veg oil. I live in Northern California, where I have been told that I only need to worry about the temperature getting too cold a few days out of the year. I have a friend who is running straight veg oil currently. All he does is strain it with a paint filter and pour it in. I just got my first 5 gallons from a local taqueria. I let the oil sit for a couple of days, then pored the oil through a paint filter, leaving the fat which settled in the bottom in the original bucket. Am I ready to go? Does anyone have any tips or?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Everyone. I just joined and I need good suggestions on purchasing a hybrid car? I lost my last car to a MVA and I'm now looking for a new one. With a chance to start over, I decided to go hybrid. Anyone have any good recogmendations or maybe advice on what to stay away from? I don't know much about hybrids and giving myself a crash course - so any good websites or resource suggestions would help too. Generally I would like to find a 4 door, hatchback small or mid-size. Thanks.

Hey guys,

I'm about ready to head out to the International Space Development Conference and one subject that I know is going to come up is the expsiveness of rocket fuel. So, eventhough most of us don't drive rockets on a regular basis, I still wanted to ask this tribe if anyone here had any useful suggestion or ideas about alternative energy sources for space vehicles to escape earth gravity.

Just throw out anything you've heard about. If it's fictitious, I'm sure someone will call you on it. If it's realistic and you've got the info to back it up, please give us all you have!

Hey Guys,

I´ve just come back from India. Found a company there, which converts Enfield Motorcycles to Diesel, including a kit to ride it on salad oil. They also export them. Check it out at http://www.indiabikes.com/ diesel conversion. And also at http://www.madaanmotors.com/ they restore old Enfields and ship them, also with Diesel Engines if you like. Have fun.
Sorry I haven´t edited my profile yet,

Veggie Illegal?

So here in IL about an hour away from where i live, i hear on the news that someone has been fined 40,000 dollars for backtaxes on gas. Apparently this guy was just grabbing veggie oil out of the back of restruants, and talkin with the newspaper and maybe making a big deal out of it.. Anyway, they say that it was an illegal operation, because he did not pay the fuel tax, which "supposedly" goes 100% into our roads, and that he was not entitled to use the roads... I sort of want to scream out in protest and tell everyone I know that this is pretty messed up, on the other hand, i also want to just sort of hide, because less people talking about it means less people know about it, and i have been low key at least compared to this guy... I just think its messed up because there is no way to calculate how much one would owe even if obviously guilty. How much of the vehicle was driven on VO and how much on Diesel. Hmmm.. just kinda worries me. Any thoughts on the situation would be much appreciated.

hey all, I'm taking a roadtrip from the Boston, MA area to western South Carolina...my truck runs on veggie, but I can't seem to get enough for the trip before leaving...so, if anyone along the way (taking rtes.90 to 84 to 287 to 78 to 81...) can spare some decent, filtered veggie, I'd be forever appreciative...plus we'd work out a fair trade.

I'm actually leaving today (I know - I should have posted earlier!) but if anyone can help out, please email me either here on tribe or at joelhenderson AT hotmail DOT com (you can figure it out I'm sure, hehe)

thanks

wood chips / ethanol versus hemp

so, in the current edition of The Economist there is an article about the future of alternative fuels, and some of the politics,

but anyways....they're saying that ethanol from wood chips is a possible sustainable source or future fuel,
as in the production / energy ratio is higher than, for example, for corn and / or sugar can........

but i'm wondering to myself....doesn't weed grow a lot faster than trees? as in, can't you grow weed with bad soil and use the biomass to create ethanol easier than trees...

wont' it grow faster? does anyone have any numbers on this?

um......errr......oops....i mean hemp, not weed......

Our oceans remove 50% of the Carbon Dioxide in from our environment. The increase in CO2 in our oceans is reducing the cellular strength of Micro-organisms such as Plankton and Algae. These micro-organisms make up 98% of the oxygen we breath. There is a company which is addressing this problem directly by converting CO2 and hydrogen from the ocean into usable bio fuels through their unique reverse fuel cell technology and innovative electrochemical processes. Please watch the video, review the page, and share this with everyone!

Call For Makers!

Dear Makers,

We are pleased to announce Bay Area Maker Faire 2007!

Organized by the staff of MAKE and CRAFT magazines, Maker Faire is a newfangled fair that brings together science, art, craft an engineering in a fun, energized, and exciting public forum. The aim is to inspire people of all ages to roll up their sleeves and become makers. This family-friendly event showcases the amazing work of all kinds of makers--anyone who is embracing DIY and wants to share their accomplishments with an appreciative audience. Last year, we had 20,000 people at Maker Faire.

Maker Faire Bay Area will take place May 19-20, 2007 at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. We are also adding Maker Faire Austin for October 20-21, 2007 at the Travis County Fairgrounds. This call is primarily for Maker Faire Bay Area but you can indicate if you are interested in participating in Maker Faire Austin.

We encourage you to join the fun and propose a maker exhibit, performance or workshop. You can submit a proposal through the web using the link described below or you can come show us your work at a Maker Faire "audition" on Saturday, February 24 at TechShop in Menlo Park, CA.

http://www.makerfaire.com

Proposals: We invite proposals for Maker workbench exhibits, workshops, presentations and performances for the Maker Faire. We are interested in proposals from individuals as well as from groups such as hobbyist clubs and schools.

Maker Workbench: Our standard setup for Makers is a six-foot long workbench. You can use this workbench to display your work and/or demonstrate how you make something. Some makers don't need workbenches, typically because they have a large object or they set up outside. Please provide a short description of what you make and what you will bring to Maker Faire. Please link to photographs or videos of what you make. Let us know about any requirements you have, such as electricity, Internet, ventilation, etc.

Interactive Performance: We're seeking performances that will engage and entertain the attendees and enable them to interact in a fun way. The performances may be tied to a stage or roving through the fairgrounds as a kind of street theatre. Performances could be musical or theatrical, but they could also be a collaborative building process. For example, you might work with attendees to put something large together in an hour.

Presentation: These includes audio-visual presentations intended for showing a project (or process) that cannot be brought to the faire, or a special project that requires AV resources. These presentations are limited to 20 minutes. Please describe the topic of your presentation and what kind of media (audio/video) that you will have. As a general rule, PowerPoint presentations are not appropriate for this event unless they are unusually entertaining.

Demonstration Workshop: A demonstration workshop is a show-and-tell session on how to make something. We're looking for makers who can demonstrate (and teach) particular skills, techniques or processes. You should start off by explaining your materials and tools and then step-through a build process, sharing your knowledge and interacting with the audience. Sessions should be under 30 minutes in length and may be repeated on the program. Please describe the subject of your workshop and what kind of setup you need for it.

Application Form: Please go to the following URL and fill it out to apply for participation as a maker. http://makerfaire.com/bayarea/2007/proposal/

All proposals will be reviewed and we will notify makers of acceptance via email by March 19, 2007.

NOTE: Presenters whose talks are accepted will receive free registration to Maker Faire. We cannot pay for travel and accommodations. (We do make exceptions under some circumstances.) If you have any questions about participating in Maker Faire, please contact Natalie Villalobos by email: info@makerfaire.com. Please let Natalie know if you plan to come to the audition at TechShop.

Key Points:

* Maker Proposal Due: Midnight (PST): Feb. 27, 2007

HD TV Special on Alternative Vehicles Needs Cars!!

Great news to everyone in the green movement. Television is finally warming up to the idea of green and we'll be seeing a slew of Sustainability oriented shows in the near future.
I work at a television production company in the S.F. Bay Area, and there has been a serious buzz from all the major networks about acquiring Green Content. They want it.

We have been appoached by a network to do a 6 hour show. The premise is a "race" of several green vehicles across the country.
Here's where you come in: We need high quality, well developed alternative fuel vehicles.
This is a major opportunity to show the world where the alternative fuel movement is, and really bring it into people's homes for the first time.
If you have, or know of someone who has a well refined and solidly working alternative fuel vehicle, please get in contact with me as we would like love to have you and your vehicle on the show.

Knowing how prolific Biodeisel is I'm sure we'll be getting lots of great entries for that technology. What we really will need are some exceptional examples of other technologies. EVs, Wood Fuel, Water Fuel.... Other technologies that are being developed and in a reasonably well developed state. One of the show concepts will be do display several different green car technologies.

In your e-mails please include:
Name of vehicle owner / Builders.
Technology it uses.
Pictures if possible.
Level of reliability.
Contact info for all parties involved with the vehicle.

Thanks everyone. Things are finally starting to turn! Now we all just need to keep on pushing harder than ever and we'll fully shift the tides!

Ok, so I want to have a van that runs on some sort of biofuel. Vegetable oil or otherwise. I am not in anyway mechanicaly inclined, but I believe in the cause. Here are my questions:

Could I buy a car that is newer, say only 5-8 years old, and convert it?
Does anyone know of a mechanic in Dallas that does the conversion?
Does it originally have to be a diesel car?
What are the options in biofuels?
In terms of availability, price and miles to the gallon, which one is better?

Thanks to all willing to help.

Howdy,

Me and a friend just purchased a Diesel StepVan and will be picking it up soon. We're looking for a place to take it in the area and get the fluids changed and have it looked at and "tuned up" before we drive it 2hrs to start the WVO conversion. But most important i'd like to take it to a Bio/SVO friendly place where the mechanic will let us watch what he's doing as well as explain it.
Hell, i'm even willing to pay a non-official mechanic if that person will be quite helpful/knowledgeable; and has the facilities.

thnx,
eli.

Post Scriptum:
Sorry about posting this is so many different Tribe forums, just trying to build/find/access the grease network.

The Truth about Hydrogen

From http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/industry/4199381.html

Wild promises abound, but can the simplest element in the universe really power our homes, fuel our cars and reduce our contribution to global warming? PM crunches the numbers on the real hydrogen economy.

WHEN ASSESSING THE State of the Union in 2003, President Bush declared it was time to take a crucial step toward protecting our environment. He announced a $1.2 billion initiative to begin developing a national hydrogen infrastructure: a coast-to-coast network of facilities that would produce and distribute the hydrogen for powering hundreds of millions of fuel cell vehicles. Backed by a national commitment, he said, "our scientists and engineers will overcome obstacles to taking these cars from laboratory to showroom, so that the first car driven by a child born today could be powered by hydrogen, and pollution-free." With two years to go on the first, $720 million phase of the plan, PM asks that perennial question of every automotive journey: Are we almost there?

And the inevitable answer from the front seat: No. Promises of a thriving hydrogen economy — one that supports not only cars and trucks, but cellphones, computers, homes and whole neighborhoods — date back long before this presidency, and the road to fulfilling them stretches far beyond its horizon.

The Department of Energy projects the nation's consumption of fossil fuels will continue to rise — increasing 34 percent by 2030. When burned, these carbon-based fuels release millions of tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, where the gas traps heat and is believed to contribute to global warming.

At first glance, hydrogen would seem an ideal substitute for these problematic fuels. Pound for pound, hydrogen contains almost three times as much energy as natural gas, and when consumed its only emission is pure, plain water. But unlike oil and gas, hydrogen is not a fuel. It is a way of storing or transporting energy. You have to make it before you can use it — generally by extracting hydrogen from fossil fuels, or by using electricity to split it from water.

And while oil and gas are easy to transport in pipelines and fuel tanks — they pack a lot of energy into a dense, stable form — hydrogen presents a host of technical and economic challenges. The lightest gas in the universe isn't easy to corral. Skeptics say that hydrogen promises to be a needlessly expensive solution for applications for which simpler, cheaper and cleaner alternatives already exist. "You have to step back and ask, 'What is the point?'" says Joseph Romm, executive director of the Center for Energy & Climate Solutions.

Though advocates promote hydrogen as a panacea for energy needs ranging from consumer electronics to home power, its real impact will likely occur on the nation's highways. After all, transportation represents two-thirds of U.S. oil consumption. "We're working on biofuels, ethanol, biodiesel and other technologies," says David Garmin, assistant secretary of energy, "but it's only hydrogen, ultimately, over the long term, that can delink light-duty transportation from petroleum entirely."

The Big Three U.S. automakers, as well as Toyota, Honda, BMW and Nissan, have all been preparing for that day. Fuel cell vehicles can now travel 300 miles on 17.6 pounds of hydrogen and achieve speeds of up to 132 mph. But without critical infrastructure, there will be no hydrogen economy. And the practical employment of hydrogen power involves major hurdles at every step — production, storage, distribution and use. Here's how those challenges stack up.

Shell Nurtalina for svo fuel?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has used Shell Nutralina (we think that's what it is called) it is hydraulic fuild made from veggie oil for use in ecosenstive areas (like in dams) for burning SVO style...we heard if worked well...but we where concerned about the fuel staying at a dense vicosicity at high tempureatures...

if anyone has tried this we'd love some suggestions...thanks

Hydrogen, oil 'scarcity', transport,....

There's plenty of wisdom here but I felt like saying something.

As I understand it, the idea from various sources is to generate hydrogen from natural and renewable energy. This can be achieved through solar power in areas of almost constant sunshine, and through geothermal power in areas where that form is plentyful. I understand that Iceland already uses hydrogen fuel cells generated by their own geothermal energy, so it is clearly feasible for other countries to use their own abundant supplies.
Sunshine is hardly being used at all for energy. It is truly amazing that there are areas of the planet where the Sun shines almost every day of the year and yet people are reliant on fossil fuels. It is (relatively) so cheap to produce solar hot water systems from which other energy can be created (ie steam power for electricity generation and PTO systems), and all over the world people have units installed heating their swimming pools and supplementing domestic needs even in temperate climates. Solar power could be used to generate enormous amounts of energy and that energy could also be used for hydrogen fuel generation.

According to some the issue of 'peak oil' is a con. The creation of 'scarcity' as a way to control populations is an old strategy used for hundreds of years by governments and banks, and was a policy of the Rothschilds and their friends, in their methods of building the system of international control that they lead. Now there are claims that huge oil fields in Vietnam, Russia, and elsewhere are proving the peak oil is a scam to make enormous profits while holding the world to ransom. These claims are made by the likes of J.F Kenney, Alex Jones, Don Croft and many others, with the evidence from scientists in the Russian Federation. The claims are explained by calling oil 'abiotic' and a product of hydro-carbon production in the Earth. It is suggested that oil fields are being 'renewed' by previously unknown sources, and that certain scientists have found that some previously depleted and even capped oil fields are full again and ready for full production.
Only time will tell on this issue. I reckon the scam is quite possible given the record of governments and their agendas. One thing is for sure, the media is almost completely controlled by those who want controlled and uninformed/confused populations. Another thing is certain, if the 'abiotic' claims are correct then the elite are making trillions from the scam (they're making trillions anyway). At the moment it seems to be a question of 'belief' rather than really knowing. Some say that all crude oil contains plant remains and so therefore is not 'abiotic', and yet others say that oil has been found which is not from decaying matter and does not contain such remains. Scientists are using the discovery of methane on various planets that have no life or decaying matter as proof of the possibility of primordial hydrocarbons on/in the Earth.

If it is the case that the scarcity is a scam then the hydrogen issue is another way to tax the people, feed the corporations and distract away from various other issues. Perhaps it is just that anyway?

I am certainly not advocating more combustion. I am well aware that there are more efficient ways of burning fuels and that engines that use little or mixed fuel have been shelved for decades since their original design, because the corporations were in full profit mode.
There have been various stories about individuals who have designed efficiency systems for vehicles and the patents have been bought up and not used. There was a case of a London bus driver who designed such a system for buses. He was offered millions for the patent and when he refused he received death threats and his house was shot at! I gather that he went into production despite the intimidation, but it demonstrates the real methods of the corporations.

The best solution to the current crisis, which makes very little money for anyone, is to 'power-down'. This means to stop using individual vehicles except where absolutely necessary. It means recreating villages with local shops and public transport systems. It means a virtual end to the car and the suburbs which resulted from its use (one of my relatives works for Ford so he definitely doesn't agree - he'll lose his job!). It means actually walking with those legs that we humans have (not just using them for accelerator pedals), and using bicycles (the most efficient ratio of energy to movement - even better than horses!). It means improving energy efficiency in all areas, and that means minimising individual vehicle use.

I would prefer more collective transport systems, which are cheap and efficient. In the UK we had a wonderful rail system until Beecham carved it up, and now the routes are mostly empty (and some are becoming cycle tracks). And since the privatisation of the rail system, all that we have now is the big money companies and their favoured routes on high-speed trains. Compared to the systems of France, Germany, Holland, and other countries, it is a massive money maker for the mega-rich like Branson. And then there are the light rail and tram systems (some making a private come-back).
Whole UK generations have forgotten what it was like to travel by strategic, comprehensive, public transport systems. With all its failings and problems it was infinitely better than the mess we have now. It is now cheaper to travel by air, and that is seriously polluting!

I gather that plenty of rail systems have been ripped up in the USA, and an extensive rail system has gone in Mexico. Such huge countries are so much better travelled by train, rather than on the EMF highways where humans are being driven into illness and desperation in huge jams and numbingly boring views, on their way from suburb to suburb.

In the UK "a man's home is his castle", as the saying goes, and so perhaps 'a man's car is his trusty steed'. Perhaps it's all about knights and battles and fighting dragons and wars, about the feudal system with barons, lords and honour (and forcing people into serfdom, corporal punishment, dragging off young men to certain death in wars, malnutrition, and lots of taxes!).
Perhaps the real costs of individual transport (as opposed to collective transport) are too great for any nation/bioregion/world to bear? Perhaps the healing of humanity, into one mind/one heart consciousness will bring all the best ideas and people together? Or will it be greater suffering and disaster that forces humans to take care of each other and the planet?

Perhaps it will take loads of asteroids, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, mega-storms and tsunamis to change the situation, and maybe collective consciousness will shift (I hope so). Meanwhile we humans muddle-on with what we 've got!

I work at the Public Motors, a used car dealership/auction, on Venice and La Cienega in Los Angeles, and if anyone is looking for diesel vehicles please contact me.

These are used vehicles, so they are sold as is. Most are in great condition anyway.
We get a lot of high end and 10 year and newer vehicles so, this is a perfect opportunity for Biodiesel companies to buy in quantity, if needed.

Please pass the word and send me a message if interested.
You can also contact me at my office at 323-937-8500 ext. 0
If I am not there please leave a message with the receptionist.
